Each year, Prague Film School welcomes visiting guest speakers from around the globe. We are grateful for the filmmakers, actors and artists who have visited our school to speak with our students, share their expertise and inspire with their war stories. Below is a sample of just a few:
Taika Waiti
New Zealand filmmaker, screenwriter, and actor; Academy Award Winner for Best Adapted Screenplay for Jojo Rabbit; directed many other excellent films, Boy, Eagle vs. Shark, Hunt for Wilderpeople, Thor: Ragnarok.
Rosamund Pike
Oscar-nominated British actress; multiple awards; outstanding performance on a number of films: Gone Girl, A United Kingdom, A Private War, The Libertine, An Education, Made in Dagenham, Berney’s Version, not to mention James Bond: Die Another Day
Leila Hatami
Iranian Actress; Leading role in A Separation, which received an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film; Silver Bear Award for Best Actress at Berlin Film Festival. Jury member at the Cannes Film Festival.
Tom Cruise
Multiple scenes from Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol were shot in Prague. The scene of the escape from the hospital in Moscow was shot at the square by PFS, between the main building and the studios. Our students were given a personal tour of the set and a meet and greet session with Tom Cruise and director Brad Bird.
Mary Stein
Mary’s many acting credits over her long career include lead and supporting roles in George Miller’s Babe in the City, Ron Howard’s The Grinch, Clint Eastwood’s The Changeling and Alejandro Monteverde’s Little Boy; as well as numerous guest and recurring roles on TV shows such as Glee, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Have and Have Nots, Star Trek, and General Hospital.
With training from the prestigious Juilliard School, Mary’s theatre credits are equally impressive and include performances with the Cirque du Soleil, New York Off Broadway and numerous regional theatres. When Mary is not acting, she is a highly sought after acting coach and teacher. At PFS, Mary offers a masterclass on business aspects of the craft and on camera acting technique.
KO
KO’s dynamic career spans an impressive range of roles across Broadway, Film, and Television. Known for their standout performances, KO originated the role of Vanessa in In the Heights and won a Tony Award for their portrayal of Anita in the Broadway revival of West Side Story. They were also nominated for a Tony Award for their role as Satine in Moulin Rouge! The Musical.
On screen, KO has appeared in popular TV series such as The Good Wife, Harry’s Law, and Law & Order. When not on stage or screen, KO is a passionate advocate for equity in the arts, and is currently Head of Musical Theater at Northwestern University.

Director / Actor / Screenwriter. Czech New Wave. Known for his memorable films such as Closely Observed Trains, Larks on a String, My Sweet Little Village.
